I look forward to Saturday mornings in the fall. Cozy in favorite wool sweaters with hot cups of coffee, we walk a joyous Sophie along the trails that are washed over in brilliant reds, oranges and yellows and I can hear fall's whisper.....the changing of the seasons.
And I know...as I always do on my walks with Sophie....that life doesn't get any better than this.

Beautiful photos as always Andrea. This is a favorite time of year to me. Today is one of the first days where I have felt a little nip in the air. These are good days to walk in the woods with the pets. Thanks for following my new blog - it means a lot. I hope the week ahead is a great one for you and Sophie.
Can't argue with any of that. Lovely photos too. :)
I agree :)
Love these pictures.
That red leaf photo makes me HURT, it's so lovely. Kiss Sophie for me. Right on her little, soft, black-and-white nose. And make sure her sweet brown eyes cross and look right into yours when you do. :)
Hi Andrea, Wonderful photos, give Sophie a good ear scratching.. I have missed hearing about her and you too:)
We love the fall too, great time for walks and enjoying nature. Your photos are beautiful.
woos, the OP Pack
Yes, we have missed you lately. But, we are thrilled to see a new post. And those photos, such gorgeous colors, and lighting.

This is a very melancholy time of year for me. I'm still holding on to the Summer's shirt tails, pleading with her not to go. Or at least, take me with her.
Perfectly stated. Just lovely.
I just love fall too. Gorgeous photos.
lovely photos. Fall is a time for reflection, isn't it?
Fall is my favorite time of year - thanks for the beautiful photo's!
I could not agree more. So little time to enjoy it, but nothing is better than a walk with the dogs on a beautiful autumn day...
My feelings exactly :-) Wonderful photos.
Gorgeous photos Andrea, as always! Your sentiments re: autumn are dead-on. I couldn't be happier with each day that dawns bright and clear here in Kansas. We're still pretty warm (70s and 80s) but our nights are now dipping down into the 40s, so the morning has that nip in the air. Perfect weather I say! :)
Hi Andrea,
I love your description of fall and time and life slowing down. I wish I could bottle this up and take it with me. It's lovely and beautiful to think about. Best wishes to you and Sophie.
Wonderful photos and I couldn't agree with you more. Our fall here on the central Florida Gulf Coast is very different from yours (or the ones I experienced in Virginia) but brings the same feelings to us as the heat and humidity are overwhelmed by cool fronts as they drop down and come in with the migrating birds.
I love fall, too, but it is the shortest of the seasons and leaves (no pun intended) me wanting more...
Such beautiful coloured leaves in that second photo. I don't like the shorter days and colder temperatures as Autumn comes in but I do love the changing trees.
You describe the Autumn so nicely.
Have a great weekend. :-)
Lovely photos and a beautiful description.
Now if it would only stop raining long enough for me to get out and see the leaves.....
Great pictures -- I hope your colors are heading our way....
Gorgeous shots! I miss the colors of fall.
They're both great, but I'm REALLY lovin' that second photo!!!
P.S. I LOVE the header of your blog!
Beautiful pictures. I love fall also but unfortunately winter is right on it's heels......
Beautiful pictures but I missed seeing Sophie :) I love fall as well. Here it is slowly changing but the weather has cooled down alot! Blessings for a great week!
I found you on Hilary's site this morning, from a comment you left and I came because of the border collie. You have a beautiful dog! And you're using the same template that I did when I began blogging 2 years ago.
I added you to my blogroll because of your photography, and especially because of your dog. Nice to meet you.
