Each week there is a photo challenge over at
Sunday Stills. I figure it's a good way to force myself to take photos of subjects other than Sophie...and to continue learning how to use my new camera. This week it's a macro challenge...this is the handle of our wood stove at the cottage.

Will need to backtrack to read more of your story.
I love macro photos. There is something so mystical about being so close to a subject as to make it seem otherworldly.
I hope to have a slr one day, I would love to learn to do more than just point and shoot.
It's amazing how when you zoom in close, or shoot a completely different angle, the commonplace becomes unrecognizable. Nice photo challenge here.
Thanks for the link to Sunday Stills. I look forward to learning a lot.
I've used the macro setting on my camera for taking photos of flowers, insects, etc. But never thought about items like the woodstove handle.
This is Wonderful! Great Job!
Very nice macro! I like all the photo challenges..hopefully my photography skills have improved too! :)
I love macro mode. This is a great shot.
I would have never guessed what it was. lol Hope today is a great day for you. Blessings, Janie
Cool shot. I admire your photography. I am photo challenged. Years ago I had to take a Photojournalism class. I dropped the class as I was stupid. Well, I had to take it anyway later on and somehow I survived.
Great shot. I've really need to get out my camera more often and take some macros. It puts such a different prospective on things!
Beautiful! Thanks for posting the link to Sunday stills.
Funny how things don't look the same closeup. Very cool picture. I came over from the Sunday Stills site.
Excellent shot! Look forward to seeing more from you~~
Well done! By the way, nice dog!
Well done! I find macros very challenging and you have done a great job here!
