In March of 2007, I brought home Sophie...an 8 week old Border Collie. During my time with her I have learned, and continue to learn, a great deal about dogs, about life and about myself.
My blog, Finding Sirius, is about life with Sophie, our adventures and my thoughts on the world around me. Finding Sirius incorporates my love of writing, of photography and of dogs.
If there is an animal that you cannot hide from....that can look into your eyes and see your intentions, your true nature....your soul....it is a cat. Elora is my soul cat.
My soul cat was Mama. She passed away 7 years ago and there's not a day that goes by that I don't think of her. I love my new cats very much but Mama was my soul cat.
She is so beautiful and I know I've said it before. My cat has a new trick - he stands on the dryer and pulls out the push pins from the cork bulletin board. Something new everyday!
Glad you are back home with Sophie and Elora. I know they are so glad too! I wish you could see my daughter's cat, Taz. They could have made beautiful babies. One day I hope to have pics on my blog. Someone is supposed to help me.Your nephew is a handsome little man!
She's a beauty, all right. :) One of my cats is looking deeply into my eyes as a glance up from the monitor. His eyes are saying much. Like "when in the hell are you going to stop typing and feed me?"

That is a beautiful cat and great picture.
What a beautiful cat. Great picture.
So very elegant.
I so agree. There are no secrets to be kept from a cat, and my cat, Puddin, proves that every day.
I see peace in those eyes!
Great picture. Love her eyes!
