do what you love

There is something important about doing things that you love. About finding, even if for just a brief moment each day, that zeal...that light...that lifts the spirits inside you. That fulfills you. At the end of a long, grueling work day on an overcast Tuesday, it's easy to come home, curl up on the couch and lose myself in the television for a few mind numbing hours. But it's worth it to throw on my boots, collar up Sophie and hit the trails with camera in hand. Worth it because I find....

the beauty of a pink February sky...

a light that reminds me of what's meaningful in my life...

and because I love it.

Beautiful shots, Andrea. We've had some lovely sunsets lately. Beautiful to just see them. A bonus to capture them.

Those are special sunsets, we don't always have those beautiful colors. Good for you to go out and capture them. Thanks for sharing.

Is that purple sky real?
And you are right about doing what you love (you are a wise woman I think). And what's also important is 'Love what you do'.

Beautiful shots. This is the prettiest time of the year down here and I always find it invigorating.

If you "do what you love," you stay happy, healthy, and YOUNG no matter what your age.

I'm afraid that I am guilty of the mind-numbing couch sitting, much too often.

Your photos are awesome. They remind me of my grandmother's old saying, "Red sky at morning - sailor take warning. Red sky at night - sailor's delight". Grandma had lots of good sayings.

What beautiful photos... everything looks so peaceful and serene.
I'm afraid that after a long days work, I usually just opt to sit on my patootie, so who knows what I'm missing out on??

What incredible photos! Yes, I understand what you mean. It's so cold outside that it becomes much easier to watch TV than rouse myself but out there is a beautiful, wide world. Thanks!
