In March of 2007, I brought home Sophie...an 8 week old Border Collie. During my time with her I have learned, and continue to learn, a great deal about dogs, about life and about myself.
My blog, Finding Sirius, is about life with Sophie, our adventures and my thoughts on the world around me. Finding Sirius incorporates my love of writing, of photography and of dogs.
This is one lesson I like to live by. Sophie looks so carefree in this picture. Our neighbors just got a 7 week old minature schnauzer (sp?) and named her Sophie, I thought of you.
From the little bit I have read of your blog, I love your earnest writing and your photos. As I have two Australian Shepherds (one with a bit of Border Collie in her!), your blog initially grabbed me because of Sophie. I absolutely love this shot of her and the one in your header where she is looking down the path!

What a gleeful expression you captured and the movement too. I love this.
She always looks so happy when outside and running!
Sophie is obviously a very happy girl. You always capture the real essence of her spirit. Thanks for sharing her with us.
I love these lessons from Sophie. When we're tuned in to our animals, they have so very much to share with us.
Now, I really believe in lesson #2. What a fun picture.
Very nice picture. She looks so happy and free!
Lesson #2 could also be "Walk tall and carry a big stick." ;)
She found a really big stick too! Great photo..I love the way her eyes are on you..and she is SO proud:)
Nice lesson and beautiful shot of Sophie!
That's one of the prime tenants of exploring. GO SOPHIE!!
Sophie is such a good teacher! Next, she needs to write a book:)

You always have great photos! Wish I could let Shamu off the leash to run around like that!!
Sophie looks like she is having fun.
Seeing pictures of Sophie makes me happy!
