sunday stills - flowers and plants

This week's Sunday Stills challenge is flowers and plants. The colours of spring, lit up in sunlight, need few words from me...they are able to speak for themselves....

...vibrant reds....

...engaging yellows...

...pristine whites.....

....and the fresh greens of the maple leaf buds.

I like your pictures and it's great that you have included the maple flowers, so often tiny flowers are overlooked but they are very important for insects and when studied up close they are lovely.

Beautiful! I've recently started taking a nature drawing class ... it has opened my eyes to the beautiful detail in plants. You've captured that in these photos!

Thank you for sharing them!

We don't have alot of actual maples here in CA, so I think I like the maple buds the best, though all of the shots are amazing!

The maple seeds look like they are from a Silver Maple tree, indigineous to Southern Ontario. You can plant them now and have trees growing by June. You can give your trees away or sell them and then there will be more beautifully vibrant green trees everywhere. Excellent camera work! The colours sing.
