three

The last of her litter left at local humane society. She was a little bit more standoffish than her brothers and sisters, a little more cautious, perhaps even a bit cynical....and thus was passed over for the friendlier, more cuddly kittens. But she still wanted to be loved. I think she was just waiting for the right person...and I found her. And she is loved.

Happy Birthday Elora. She is such a beauty. I love her stand in front of the sunny window. My cat "Ditto" was the last of the litter too. His tail is VERY long and we think that is why he was passed over. We love him dearly. Give Elora a treat from me.

She is adorable. How lovely, calm looking but dignified.

Oh I can't wait to share our lives with cats.

Happy Birthday.

People usually pick out animals by what they looks first, then worry about personality later. Elora might not have been the cutest of the 3 then, but she is sure a beauty now. Happy Birthday Elora:)

Happy Happy Birthday Elora. Beautiful cat with a Beautiful name!

I did the same thing when I went to the ASPCA to adopt a companion for George. Poor Gracie - she just sat there looking off into space with those great big ice blue eyes. No barking, no tail wagging...just a total sense of loss. I just couldn't leave her there. Best decision ever, cause she is a wonderful dog.

My previous cat Bob was the last of the litter and he was soooo loved. Love Elora's baby picture. And I meant nothing by complaining about the beautiful snow pictures you take. I love them. It just came to mind when I was looking at our crappy snow.

Awww what a sweetie. She reminds me of the kitten we passed up in favour of the funny-looking tortoise shell we took home instead. The other kitten was flawlessly beautiful and we knew she'd be snapped up in a heartbeat, but the goofy looking little feline might have been overlooked, so we took her home instead. That was 26 years ago, and she's long gone, but never forgotten.
