sunday stills - self portraits

This week's Sunday Stills Challenge was self-portraits. I, like most of my Sunday Stills challenge friends, prefer to be on the other side of the camera....however, for Ed we seem to be willing to make an exception. These were taken with my tripod. I had to include Sophie because when I think of the word "self" the definition is not complete without her.

Dancing with my girl....

I know this last one is too blurry to be a good photo....but I am including because I wish SO much that it had turned out better as it would be my favorite picture of Sophie and I. When I look at it, I can really see us.

Absolutely beautiful self portraits. I like the one where you were playing with him. A stolen shot that shows the relationship of best friends. :-)

what great photos.

Just from how we've gotten to know you and Sophie through your blog, something would've been missing without Sophie in the photos, an essence completing your "self" portrait.

Very nice, we finally have a face to go with the excellent posts..:-)

I also hate to be on that side of the camera, but isn't it nice to have these now that you've done it?

Cute photos...I'm like you...I'm very camera shy. It's like I don't know what to do if someone points a camera at me. I always look so un-natural.

"when I think of the word "self" the definition is not complete without her" - what a beautiful sentiment - so beautifully expressed both in words and in image.

They're all beautiful, but I think I like "the dance" the best!
And I have to admit I got a lump in my throat when I read:
"when I think of the word "self" the definition is not complete without her"

You're an amazing woman and you and Sophie are so lucky to have one another!

Wonderful photo's. You both have fabulous smiles!!!

I don't mind the photo being blurry. Since 90% of my are that way it just feels normal.

And despite the blur, it clearly best conveys the love between the two of you.

Thanks for including it.

i'm with you - sometimes i have a hard time letting photos go because they're too blurry....and other times they end up working even if they are blurry.

sophie is such a pretty girl!! it's so true that dogs and their owners tend to look like they belong together.

These are so absolutely wonderful! They tell a story about you two with no words at all! And I do like the blur in the third one as it "says" something, too. . .
