a special fellow

There is a special fellow featured on The Charlie Project today. There was something about this particular, well-loved, old dog…something about his connection with his owner, a connection that had been built over many years of friendship and of fighting his cancer together; something about them taking in the sunshine together on a warm Sunday in March, smiling and content yet both seemingly knowing that this would be his last spring …that made him especially moving to photograph.

Pay Fumble a visit...he will touch your heart.

Hi Andrea,

This sounds like a bittersweet yet beautiful story. I will definitely check it out.

Sometimes I think dogs have a deeper understanding of life than humans do.

Love it! What a great idea (and good luck with keeping TWO blogs going -- one kicks my butt.)

I feel tears as I write this. Fumble reminds me so much of my sweet little Hobo who died years ago. The have the same thoughtful profile. I'm going to jump over to read his story. Thanks.

What a beautiful dog, what a sweet story. Dogs really are the blessings in life, God made them to be.

What a beautiful pooch. It is so hard to go through illness with an animal, not being able to really explain to them what is going on or why they feel the way they do.
This pup looks so proud and hopeful.
