There is a special fellow featured on The Charlie Project today. There was something about this particular, well-loved, old dog…something about his connection with his owner, a connection that had been built over many years of friendship and of fighting his cancer together; something about them taking in the sunshine together on a warm Sunday in March, smiling and content yet both seemingly knowing that this would be his last spring …that made him especially moving to photograph.
Pay Fumble a visit...he will touch your heart.

Hi Andrea,
This sounds like a bittersweet yet beautiful story. I will definitely check it out.
What a great photo. I see much wisdom in Fumble's sweet face. I'm heading over to pay him a visit now.
What a nice thing to do for Fumble, to share his story with us.
Very loving dog and he has had a great life to share with his owner. Thanks,Andrea!
Such love in his eyes. Makes you just go "aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh"!
Sometimes I think dogs have a deeper understanding of life than humans do.
Awww, we'll go and visit now but will probably end up crying!
Love it! What a great idea (and good luck with keeping TWO blogs going -- one kicks my butt.)
I feel peace when I see this photo. I'm on my way to read his story.
I feel tears as I write this. Fumble reminds me so much of my sweet little Hobo who died years ago. The have the same thoughtful profile. I'm going to jump over to read his story. Thanks.
Oh, what a beautiful photo. Fumble looks so peaceful and wise....
I'm off to visit him now, but I'm taking the tissues with me...
Oh so tender. Man's best freind thru thick and thin. Thank you for sharing this story.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Lovely looking critter. Thanks for sharing. :)
What a beautiful dog, what a sweet story. Dogs really are the blessings in life, God made them to be.

What a beautiful pooch. It is so hard to go through illness with an animal, not being able to really explain to them what is going on or why they feel the way they do.
This pup looks so proud and hopeful.
Thank you for leading me to The Charlie Project. Great blog and wonderful dogs.
