This week's Sunday Stills challenge is lines. I've attempted something a bit different...to capture the lines that I think Sophie sees on parts of an agility course....and to capture her thoughts about those lines. Would love to hear if you think I made it work or not.
ascent; muscles pushing against the pull of earth, charging towards the peak...
leaping over the apex; legs and body extended in flight....
pounding descent; decisive steps towards earth...
not lines of poles, but spaces between; an s-curve of left and right...
quick steps up; long groves and edges in parallel...
straight and narrow path stretching into the distance; a finish line.

Andrea, that was really neat, what a good idea to show us Sophie's perspective!

Nicely done. Perspective is everything.
Really great shots, Andrea.
You nailed it Adrea!
Did you crouched on the ground just to take these photos? Hahaha!
I'm not a professional photographer or anything and these shots look great but it's sort of low for me unless your dog is sort of little!
I just read your story in the Star. After a 27 year career with one organization, and a successful career, I had the exact same experience you did. Walked in one morning and all gone in 12 minutes !
A few weeks earlier a 15 week old beagle came into my life, and as simply as I can put it, he literally saved my life. He has not only saved but transformed it.

hey andrea, just read your article on the star, i'm from toronto but currently in switzerland right now, really nice to see a nice story back home.
although i have no experience in photography, but i really love the third one. really shows the texture
and depth well
keep up the good work !
Andrea, I read your article in the Star today. I really enjoyed the article as I can relate as I lost my job to disability and the dog was my saver. He listens and never talks back but let you know when he is with you. Dogs are so important to well being to many of us and lead us to different paths.
Thanks, for waking us up to the real world.
Andrea ,great shots .I would say you succeded at what you set out to do.Love the idea.
I just read your story in the Star. Sophie was sent to you for a reason - to enjoy the life you are now experiencing. So few people realise the significance of what seems like random events, especially when it comes to aninmals, when in fact every occurence in our lives happens for a specific purpose. One door closes and another one opens...Animals, whether domestic or wild, can teach us so much!
Beautiful shots from a dog's perspective. The texture and the flow in the pictures is what makes them so visually pleasing. Now you just need to attach a "doggie cam" to get some really spectacular footage!
Andrea, I just read your article in the Star and just wanted to say Thank You. I was just laid off from a job I was not happy in, so very bittersweet. I'm really hopeful that it will lead me to a job I can be passionate about and your story gave me hope. Thanks.
Andrea after looking at your pics and leaving a comment I went and read your Story in the Star. I love your story and I'm glad you are happier.....way to go Sophie. While I was reading that article I went to the comments. Most people wish you the best. One comment however wasn't as kind. To the person that said Humans should be mans best friend all I can say is they must not ever have had that kind of love in their life so therefore cannot understand the pure joy so many of us get from our animal friends.....(not Pets)
I think you were very successful in showing Sophie's perspective!! Wonderful creativity and nicely done Andrea~~
I like how you changed our persperctive for this one, and I somehow think that they would be blurrier if Sophie took them while running the course!
Very creative! Love the perspective! You totally nailed it!
Great shots - you have such wonderful ideas!
Huro,
Thanks for visiting my blog. What a very good idea for a post. You is very good at capturing the perspective. Mum's gonna go read all about Sophie now. :)

Cuddos on the pics!!! Great perspective on a dogs life..:-)
love it, awesome to see things from a different point of view, even or especially a dogs
Love the perspective. Great idea and pics!
Very interesting perspective!
What a great idea to try and see things from Sophie's perspective. You have such a gift when it comes to photography. I'm jealous :)
I love the perspective and depth of field in the last picture.
Oh Andrea, I TRULY love this....
I never thought about it before. And yes, you absolutely captured it. You might be a dog at heart! And that's a COMPLIMENT! lol
I'm thinking of starting Minky in agility class. I think she'd be a natural but she still barks a LOT at strangers. It's intimidation and excitement barking but it is off-putting to strangers nonetheless. Any suggestions?
Okay, these bring back really bad memories of boot camp :) Great photos!!
Mine is up over at my photo blog.
I love these pictures what a great idea.
Hi, I just read your article in the star
My blog is tkcensored.blogspot.com
and a private one called
tkkerouac.blogspot.com
I did not loose a corporate job but I do understand your new found joy of walking around , taking photos, and writing your daily perspective of what you've seen and whats on your mind.
Your camera allows you to capture views that others wouldn't ordinarily see.
Its like you are documenting your daily life through photo journalism.
When I first started my blog which documented my life in photos and thoughts, It became very popular for two reasons....
My daughter is the number one blogger in Canada, so readers would go into her blog , read and then go into her mothers blog to see a different age life perspective
Secondly
I'm a kerouac, as in Jack Kerouac the writer.
At first, I enjoyed the comments and attention, but then became uncomfortable with the amount of readership and went private.
I did keep a censored version open to readers
tkcensored.blogspot.com
I do share your passion of taking photos, writing thoughts and enjoying nature and wildlife. I come upon many dogs, cats and wildfowl on these adventures which brings much joy.
Good Luck with your new career path and new found Joy of a Simpler Life
I admire your honesty
Take Care
Tracey
Wow! These are great!
What a beautiful commentary in black and white! It certainly looks like Sophie's perspective. Great job!
I think you did an awesome job. Wonderful photography and commentary!
Very cool concept and excellent photos!
Sophies perspective on the agility course..I loved it..fantastic photos as usual! I take it your column is out..are you going to share the link?? I hope so! :)
