I just read your story in the Star. After a 27 year career with one organization, and a successful career, I had the exact same experience you did. Walked in one morning and all gone in 12 minutes !

Andrea, I read your article in the Star today. I really enjoyed the article as I can relate as I lost my job to disability and the dog was my saver. He listens and never talks back but let you know when he is with you. Dogs are so important to well being to many of us and lead us to different paths.

I just read your story in the Star. Sophie was sent to you for a reason - to enjoy the life you are now experiencing. So few people realise the significance of what seems like random events, especially when it comes to aninmals, when in fact every occurence in our lives happens for a specific purpose. One door closes and another one opens...Animals, whether domestic or wild, can teach us so much!
Beautiful shots from a dog's perspective. The texture and the flow in the pictures is what makes them so visually pleasing. Now you just need to attach a "doggie cam" to get some really spectacular footage!
Andrea, I just read your article in the Star and just wanted to say Thank You. I was just laid off from a job I was not happy in, so very bittersweet. I'm really hopeful that it will lead me to a job I can be passionate about and your story gave me hope. Thanks.
Andrea after looking at your pics and leaving a comment I went and read your Story in the Star. I love your story and I'm glad you are happier.....way to go Sophie. While I was reading that article I went to the comments. Most people wish you the best. One comment however wasn't as kind. To the person that said Humans should be mans best friend all I can say is they must not ever have had that kind of love in their life so therefore cannot understand the pure joy so many of us get from our animal friends.....(not Pets)

I'm thinking of starting Minky in agility class. I think she'd be a natural but she still barks a LOT at strangers. It's intimidation and excitement barking but it is off-putting to strangers nonetheless. Any suggestions?

I did not loose a corporate job but I do understand your new found joy of walking around , taking photos,and writing your daily perspective of what you've seen and whats on your mind.
Your camera allows you to capture views that others wouldn't ordinarily see.
Its like you are documenting your daily life through photo journalism.
When I first started my blog which documented my life in photos and thoughts, It became very popular for two reasons....
My daughter is the number one blogger in Canada, so readers would go into her blog , read and then go into her mothers blog to see a different age life perspective

I'm a kerouac, as in Jack Kerouac the writer.
At first, I enjoyed the comments and attention, but then became uncomfortable with the amount of readership and went private.
